Accessibility Statement

Introduction

Privatbrauerei ERDINGER Weißbräu Werner Brombach GmbH is committed to ensuring that its digital services intended for consumers — including the website https://shop.erdinger-fanshop.de/ and the online ordering/e-commerce functionalities provided through it in accordance with the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG) and the BFSG Ordinance (BFSGV).

This accessibility statement applies to the following digital offerings:

If individual services are operated on subdomains or external platforms, they are reviewed in the same manner according to BFSG criteria or are marked accordingly.

1. Status of Compliance with Requirements

The accessibility requirements are derived from the BFSG, in particular from Sections 3 and 14 of the BFSG and the BFSGV. For technical implementation, we follow state-of-the-art standards, in particular EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 at Conformity Level AA.

The website is partially accessible.

2. Non-Accessible Content

Our digital offerings are partially accessible. This assessment is based on a self-assessment as well as supporting automated analyses. The following requirements are not currently fully met (excerpt from the relevant WCAG 2.1 AA criteria):

  • 1.3.1 Info and Relationships

The semantic structure, such as headings and form labels, is not consistently marked up correctly, preventing assistive technologies from recognizing important relationships.
  • 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum)

Text content and interactive elements often do not meet the minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1.
  • 2.4.1 Bypass Blocks

Mechanisms for skipping repeated content (e.g., main navigation) are either not available or incorrectly implemented.
  • 3.2.2 On Input

Some interactive elements behave unpredictably upon user input, leading to unexpected navigation.
  • 4.1.1 Parsing

The source code contains syntax errors (e.g., incorrect HTML tags), which may hinder processing by assistive technologies.
  • 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value

Interactive controls (e.g., form elements, buttons) are not consistently provided with programmatically recognizable names, roles, and states.
  • 2.4.3 Focus Order

The order in which interactive elements can be focused using the keyboard is sometimes illogical or unclear, making navigation difficult for keyboard users.

Additionally:

  • PDF documents

on the website are partially not accessible. For example, they lack tagging, which limits their usability with screen readers.

We are continuously working to reduce these barriers. Priority is given to critical user paths such as product selection, shopping cart, identification, and payment process—in accordance with the BFSG requirement that identification, security, and payment must be accessible.

3. Creation of this Statement and Testing Methodology

This statement was created on May 15, 2025, and last updated on February 12, 2026. It is based on an actual evaluation of a selection of pages from the websites at https://shop.erdinger-fanshop.de/ using automated testing methods (EqualWeb Accessibility Crawler) as well as on a self-assessment.

This statement is updated on an ongoing basis as soon as improvements are implemented or new tests are conducted.
